1 year stats

We finally made it to our 1 year doc appointment, a bit late (13 months).  I will quote the pediatrician, "your child is off the chart!"  That about sums it up for me.  We couldn't agree more with her statement but she was specifically talking about his measurements.  He was literally off the percentile chart for his height (32 inches) - Washington Wizards please hold your offers till after medical school.  Weight came in at 26.5 lbs (90th percent) although Elijah barely sat on the scale long enough to get a true reading and he could weigh even more.

Here are some of his latest updates:
-4 teeth (2 top and 2 bottom)
-able to stand on his own and crawl faster than lightening
-eats 3 meals a day with snacks in between (favorites are ravioli, waffles, chicken and yogurt)
-officially packed away the bottles, sippy cups only but LOVES his milk
-taking 1 mid-day nap
-transitioned to the toddler room at daycare and sleeping on a small cot instead of a crib for nap-time (don't ask me HOW they do that one)
-favorite activities: opening and closing doors and cabinets; singing "wheels on the bus" with hand motions; and climbing the stairs
-favorite toy is a toss up between his musical helicopter (thanks Mindi), Fisher Price kitchen and any of his touch/feel board books

Goals for next month: walking and eating more veggies
